Sunday 11am Slane

Congratulations to everyone who has completed the recent 7 weeks Life in the Spirit seminars. This is our point of arrival: to see the Lord. This is the most beautiful thing that can happen to us: to contemplate face to face the marvellous countenance of the Lord, to see him as he is, beautiful, full of light, full of love, full of tenderness. “Pope Francis” This quote provides a positive & hopeful vision of what awaits believers, giving meaning & purpose to their spiritual efforts in this life.

With this Sunday 12th Oct been the Feast of Day Saint Carlo Acutis we will have Adoration from 3pm to 4pm. St. Carlo died at the age of 15 from leukemia. From a very young age, Carlo had a special love for God. Carlo’s love for the Eucharist also inspired a deep conversion for his mother. St. Carlo was fascinated with the internet he used it with his family to put together an exhibition of Eucharistic miracles. Carlo’s body lies incorrupt in Assisi, Italy. His body lies in a glass tomb in where he can be seen in jeans & a pair of Nike runners.

St. Carlo’s final words were, “Mama, don’t be afraid. Since Jesus became a man, death has become the passage towards life, & we don’t need to flee it. St. Carlo was canonized this year 7th Sept 2025.
