This year, Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) Ireland’s Week of Witness takes place from 15th – 23rd Nov with Red Wednesday falling on 19th Nov. We hope to mark this important week that is a concrete sign of our solidarity with the suffering Church. We seek to raise awareness and pray for all who are persecuted and discriminated against because of their Christian faith. Last year, thanks to the collective generosity of our benefactors we were able to support almost 6,000 projects in 140 countries. 40 Hours Adoration – Jubilee Year of Hope As we celebrate the Jubilee Year of Hope, a special 40 Hours of Eucharistic Adoration will take place in the Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar, from Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd November, concluding on the Solemnity of Christ the King. Adoration will begin after Mass on Friday 21st November at 7:30 pm and conclude at 4 pm with sung Vespers and Benediction on Sunday 23rd November, with Bishop Alan Mc Guckian SJ, Bishop of Down and Connor, as homilist. There will be confessions from noon until midnight on Saturday 22nd November. Each parish within the Pastoral Area in the Diocese has been invited to spend one hour in Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. Our parish and pastoral area will have its hour on Saturday 22nd Nov 2pm-3pm. Everyone is warmly invited to take part in this diocesan pilgrimage of prayer, praying for vocations, for families preparing for the Sacraments, and for peace in our world.

This is a personal invitation inviting you to Confession in St. Mary’s Church, Navan on Sunday 7th Dec from 4pm – 6pm which will be led by Slane parish. “Forgiveness cannot change what happened in the past, yet it can allow us to change the future & to live different lives, free of anger, animosity & vindictiveness. Forgiveness makes possible a brighter future, which enables us to look at the past with different eyes” - Pope Francis
“The Singing Group We meet in St. Erc’s Oratory from 8pm - 9pm every Tuesday night and aim to sing at 11am Mass in Slane twice a month. New members are always welcome - and please remember to take a hymn sheet at the door and join in. We love it when you sing along with us!

Graves; - there has been an increase in recent weeks of waste material been taken from graves & left behind headstones. Please take whatever is taken of your graves home with you.
The Holy Rosary will take place after 9am mass on weekdays.
