A Prayer for a New Year
“Dear God, as we stand at the beginning of this new year, we offer our heartfelt gratitude for the year that has passed-for the joys, the challenges, and the lessons learned, all of which have shaped us and brought us to this moment.
We thank you for your constant presence, your unending love, and your faithfulness that sustains us.
As we step into this new season, we humbly ask for your guidance and wisdom for the days ahead, knowing that you alone know what they hold. Help us to trust you, to seek your will, and to walk in your light.
Forgive us for our shortcomings, and help us to forgive ourselves and others, so we may approach this year with clean hearts and renewed spirits.
May we live with gratitude, share love, and be your hands and feet in the world, bringing hope and light to those in need. Bless our families, our communities, and our world, and help us to honour you in all we do.
In Jesus’ name, we pray,
Amen “.
